CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO SERVE ON THE CISNA STRUCTURES

ALL CISNA MEMBERS

  1. The Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non-Banking Financial Authorities (CISNA) would like to call for nominations by Member Authorities of candidates to serve as members of Sub-Committees as established under the CISNA Rules.
  2. The Governance Council has decided to open for election in respect of vacancies in the following CISNA Structures  
            a). Capital Markets Sub-Committee (1 vacancy);  
            b). Insurance and Retirement Funds, Medical Schemes and Intermediaries Sub-Committee (1 vacancy); and 
            c). Microfinance and Financial Co-operatives Sub-Committee (2 vacancies). 
  1. The elections will be held during a virtual Extraordinary General Council meeting scheduled for April 2024.

  2. The deadline for sending completed nominations is 15 February 2024.

The Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non-Banking Financial Authorities (CISNA) was established in 1998, pursuant to Annexure 10 of the SADC Protocol on Finance and Investment as a committee of authorities responsible for the supervision of insurance, securities, and non-banking financial institutions (NBFI) in SADC Member States. CISNA is part of the Directorate of Finance, Investment and Customs of the SADC Secretariat and reports to the SADC Committee of Ministers of Finance and Investment through the Committee of Senior Treasury Officials.
